Where can I request cloud resources for a covid-19 response related project?

I have heard that some cloud providers are offering free access to certain services for covid-19 response related work. Does anyone know who is doing this and how to get in touch with them?

Also, here at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (https://www.osc.edu/) we are offering extraordinary support to our clients, several of which have taken us up on the offer

Jetstream cloud, an NSF funded resource that is allocated via XSEDE always has free allocations for researchers at US-based research institutions. Commercials entities may also apply for allocations as long as they abide by XSEDE policies for for-profit institutions (see: https://portal.xsede.org/allocations/policies#87)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working with any research organization working on COVID-19 activities that would like cloud services. Please follow the step by step instructions here:

Mass Open Cloud Computing Against COVID Resources

The Mass Open Cloud (MOC) is participating in Computing Against COVID (CAC), an effort to match people’s technical skills with projects focused on COVID-19 that need support.

The MOC is a public, open source regional cloud. It is a unique public/private partnership between Academia (Boston University, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, and UMass), Industry (core partners include Intel, Red Hat, and Two Sigma), and government (MassTech Collaborative and USAF). As a research cloud, the MOC does not offer an SLA, though historically have been reliable.

For general-purpose computing, the Intel based cluster, Kaizen, offers VM’s and OpenShift containers as well as access to volume and object storage. For Data Analysis, we have a small number of Intel based nodes available with NVIDIA GPUs. Also, we have an IBM Power 9 based cluster with 40 NVIDIA GPU’s spread across 10 nodes. The Power 9 cluster is available via OpenShift for shared usage. The Open Source Open Data Hub provides a best-effort AI as a service offering on top of these clusters.

It is important to know that OpenShift and OpenStack can be challenging to use if you are new to them and that the resources are available with very minimal user assistance. Successful projects will include team members with familiarity with setting up and using them. We urge you to use the matching service at computingagainstcovid19.org to identify skilled team members.

Please note that all requests are contingent upon the availability of resources.
