Please see below regarding the upcoming CCV maintenance work. Should you need more technical details regarding the maintenance, please refer to our Q&A forum or CCV’s status page.

Maintenance Window:

  • Tuesday, August 25, 2020; 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Maintenance Description:

  • Due to a major security vulnerability CVE-2020-13847, the Singularity RPMs will be updated from current version 3.4.2 to version 3.6.0.

Expected Impact:

  • Who is impacted:
    • Users leveraging Singularity containers on Oscar.
  • What services are impacted:
    • Running jobs leveraging Singularity binaries might be incomplete/canceled while RPMs are being upgraded.
    • Singularity binaries will be unavailable during this maintenance period.

Instructions to follow:

  • After maintenance please verify your Singularity images. Some users might need to rebuild their images if they no longer work with the new Singularity version.
