Dear Oscar Users,
The CIT building (which houses our Data Center) will lose power on Tuesday, 1/11/21, as Facilities Management needs to do critical diagnostic work for new circuit breakers and preventive maintenance on the building.
CCV will take advantage of this outage and perform maintenance on our Oscar cluster. Please see below for details.
Maintenance Window:
- Start - 5:00 am, Tuesday, January 11, 2022
- End - 4:00 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022
- Please note: If unanticipated issues occur we expect to have them resolved by 8:00 am, Monday, January 17, 2022 at the latest
Maintenance Description:
- Performance upgrades to our GPFS storage cluster
Expected Impact:
- All Oscar services will be unavailable during the downtime
- Any existing Terminal, Screen, Tmux, SMB mounts or VNC sessions will be terminated
- Any Slurm jobs in the queue which will not complete by the start of maintenance will not be scheduled until the maintenance is completed
