Hi everyone,
we’re hiring for a Data Science Specialist position at Harvard’s Institute for Quantitative Social Science. Come join a team of data scientists facilitating research across most departments and centers at Harvard and MIT.
The main focus of the role is on short consultations for statistical and/or programming issues that researchers face, but there are also opportunities to be involved with longer term projects. Our clientele is very diverse - we service almost all departments and centers at both Harvard and MIT - so we’re looking for someone with great breadth, as well as depth of knowledge. The basic core skills we’re looking for are a very solid background in frequentist-based inference using generalized linear models, as well as fluency in at least one statistical software (preferably R, Python, or Stata). Additional skills are listed in the full job posting:
Please disseminate within your local research community. If anyone has any questions about the position, feel free to have them reach out to me directly. Thanks!
best,
Steve
